We are thrilled to feature Prof. Ziryab Imad in our April Personality Spotlight!

Prof. Imad is a distinguished figure in the field of rheumatology, serving at the University of Bahri in the Internal Medicine Division of Rheumatology. His impressive qualifications include an MD from SMSB, MRCP(UK), FRCP(Edinburgh), and an MSc & PhD in Clinical Pharmacology.

Prof. Imad is the Head of the Rheumatology Specialty Training Office at the Sudan Medical Specialization Board (SMSB) and the Founder and President of the Ziryab Research Group (ZRG).

Despite the challenges of war and conflict in Sudan, Prof. Imad remains dedicated to his mission: “Still in my country because our patients need us. So we continue teaching, training our juniors, lectures, treating people, and doing research.”

His research spans Internal Medicine, Rheumatology, Clinical Pharmacology, and Clinical Trials. Prof. Imad’s resilience and commitment embody the true AFLAR spirit.
