The African League of Associations for Rheumatology (AFLAR), is a coalition of rheumatology professional bodies from all 54 African countries and a partner of the International League of Associations of Rheumatology (ILAR). Founded on August 3, 1989, AFLAR held its inaugural meeting the same year. We strive to improve the quality of life for individuals living with rheumatic diseases through education, research, and advocacy.
